For travel writers coming to Vancouver for TBEX ’11 in June, cost may be a major concern.

Flights to Vancouver tend to be expensive no matter where you come from and cheap hotels in Vancouver aren’t easy to come by, especially if your standards are on the higher side.

If low cost is your highest priority when it comes to TBEX accommodation, your best bet is one of the city’s hostels, which offer communal lodging (with some private rooms) starting at $20 per night.

A number of Vancouver hotels are offering special rates for travel bloggers attending TBEX ’11.

For up-to-the-moment information about participating properties and rates, please visit the Tourism Vancouver web page.

In addition to those Tourism Vancouver member properties, the all-suite Rosedale on Robson is offering a special TBEX rate of $149.

Each of the suites come with a kitchen and separate living room and include a continental breakfast and free wifi. This property is located near the Vancouver Public Library and is close to the Stadium SkyTrain station and the Yaletown-Roundhouse station on the Canada Line.

To reserve, call toll-free  1.800.661.8870 and use this group code: 409089 225
